Steve Lawrence
Steve is the Principal of Stonebridge Stewart. He is different because he uses his expertise to provide clients with advice on strategy, growth and profit improvement. He is also responsible for ensuring that the quality of the Stonebridge Stewart service remains of the highest standard and will want to know immediately if you have any worries or concerns.
Steve looks after a portfolio of clients covering a wide range of businesses and personal cases. His strengths lie in his understanding of the pressures of being in business having spent time on secondment in industry on various assignments over the years. Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Steve is married to Carol and a father of 5 children. He is an ardent Tranmere Rovers fan and can be seen on the terraces at most home games. He is also an excellent cook and enjoys spending his weekends in the kitchen.
Chrissie Smith
Chrissie is the Manager at Stonebridge Stewart, and strives to
help clients with all their financial and business needs. Having previously worked in large Liverpool-based accountancy practices, she brings over eleven years' worth of experience to the firm.
Chrissie was a fully qualified AAT by the time she was 21 and, having taken time away from her studies to focus on her two young sons, she has just taken her two final ACCA exams.
Most of her spare time is taken up caring for her boys but when she has a moment she loves to cook and keep fit by going to the gym and swimming - either with or without her sons!
Carrian Myhan
Carrian joined the team in June 2010 after having spent nine years working for a smaller firm in Wales. Carrian qualified as an AAT Technician in 2003 and received a diploma in payroll in 2005. After a period of maternity leave, she has renewed her knowledge by getting her certificate in Sage Payroll and Sage Line 50 software and completing a bookkeeping module. Her duties include the preparation of Accounts and Tax Returns.
Carrian lives with her long-standing partner and their son and daughter in North Wales. She enjoys camping and caravanning and getting together with friends.
Rosie Elliott
Rosie worked for the Corporate Office of Royal Bank of Scotland in Liverpool for 11 years before leaving to start a family in 2003. Having taken a career break, she joined Stonebridge Stewart in December 2010 as a Receptionist.
After a year in that role, Rosie decided she would like to consolidate earlier qualifications gained in bookkeeping and is now working towards her AAT exams. She has also made the career move to Bookkeeper within Stonebridge Stewart.
Rosie is married to Barry and they have 2 daughters. They enjoy spending weekends in North Wales in the beautiful Snowdonia countryside. She also enjoys entertaining and loves getting together with family and friends.
Sam Gelling
Sam joined Stonebridge Stewart in August 2011 as a Trainee Accountant under the Apprenticeship framework and is working towards his AAT Level 3 qualification at Wirral Met, having achieved his Level 2 in Summer 2012.
Having started studying for his A Levels, Sam realised that he wished to pursue a career in Accountancy. His Careers Guidance Officer at Calday Grange Grammar School directed him to Stonebridge Stewart - and the rest is history!
A keen Everton fan, Sam enjoys all sports especially rugby and football. He also likes going to the cinema and spending time with his girlfriend.
Jack Martin
Jack joined Stonebridge Stewart in September 2012 as a Trainee Accountant under the Apprenticeship framework and is working towards his AAT Level 2 qualification.
Fulfilling a long-held desire to train as an Accountant, ATTS College recommended a number of candidates and Jack successfully applied to Stonebridge Stewart in the Summer of 2012.
Jack is a keen footballer, playing for a local league and enjoys keeping his fitness levels up by running and going to the gym. Another fervent Evertonian, he enjoys going to as many matches as he can to support his team.
Jenny Horner
Jenny is the Practice Director at Stonebridge Stewart, responsible for the in house management of the firm.
She started working in the chartered accountancy profession in 1987 when she joined Deloitte Haskins & Sells in London as PA to one of the tax partners. She worked there for four years before transferring to the Liverpool office of Coopers & Lybrand. A brief spell there was followed by two years at Grant Thornton. With some time out to help her husband establish his own business and bring up two children, she rejoined the profession in 2005 as Practice Manager at Stonebridge Stewart.
Jenny is married with two children and spends a lot of her spare time watching them pursuing their hobbies of rugby and music. She also enjoys running and has been a school governor for many years.
Leigh Watson
Leigh joined Stonebridge Stewart in November 2011 as a full-time Trainee Administrator/Receptionist under the Apprenticeship framework and is now working towards her NVQ3 qualification in Business Administration, having successfully gained her Level 2 in Summer 2012.
Her success has been such that Leigh is now responsible for all the front of house services at Stonebridge Stewart and many of the administrative services.
Leigh spends her spare time with family, friends and her boyfriend and enjoys socialising with them. She also enjoys swimming and keeping fit.
