Meet the team
Steve is the Principal of Stonebridge Stewart. He is different because he uses his expertise to provide clients with advice on strategy, growth and profit improvement. He is also responsible for ensuring that the quality of the Stonebridge Stewart service remains of the highest standard and will want to know immediately if you have any worries or concerns.
Steve looks after a portfolio of clients covering a wide range of businesses and personal cases. His strengths lie in his understanding of the pressures of being in business having spent time on secondment in industry on various assignments over the years. Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Steve is married to Carol and a father of 5 children. He is an ardent Tranmere Rovers fan and can be seen on the terraces at most home games. He is also an excellent cook and enjoys spending his weekends in the kitchen.
Jenny is the Practice Director at Stonebridge Stewart, responsible for the in house management of the firm.
She started working in the chartered accountancy profession in 1987 when she joined Deloitte Haskins & Sells in London as PA to one of the tax partners. She worked there for four years before transferring to the Liverpool office of Coopers & Lybrand. A brief spell there was followed by two years at Grant Thornton. With some time out to help her husband establish his own business and bring up their children, she rejoined the profession in 2005 as Practice Manager at Stonebridge Stewart.
Jenny is married with two children, one of whom is a doctor in Derby and the other is away at University. She enjoys running, watching sport particularly England playing rugby, and has been a school governor for many years.
Amy is an Accountant here at Stonebridge Stewart; she joined the team in January 2016 having previously worked in another chartered accountancy practice for four years.
She is fully AAT qualified and has already successfully completed some of her ACCA exams, with only a few more to sit in the near future before achieving her ambition of becoming a fully qualified Chartered Accountant.
Amy lives locally with her two children; when she is not running around after them, she enjoys going to quiz nights and socialising with her friends.
Pauline joined Stonebridge Stewart in November 2013 whilst studying for her AAT Level 4 qualification and is now a qualified Accounting Technician.
Having worked in Financial Services for many years, she then followed this by completing a Masters Degree.
Pauline is married to Mark, has two children and is active within their schools. She also spends one morning a week volunteering for a charity, the Roy Castle Lung Foundation. Pauline enjoys participating in most sports (giving rugby a miss!) and enjoys entertaining, music and theatre.
Tabitha is our most recent team member having joined in February 2016. Following a highly successful seventeen year career within retail, Tabitha decided she wished to secure a challenging and rewarding new role within the finance industry.
Whilst still holding down a full-time job, Tabitha worked at home to gain her AAT Level 2 qualification which she achieved in April 2015. She then undertook a three month placement in another accountancy firm before securing her current role as Accounts Trainee at Stonebridge Stewart. She plans to continue with her AAT studies and to work towards becoming a fully qualified Accountant in the future.
Tabitha lives locally with her husband and young daughter. She enjoys the outdoors, cooking, DIY and interior design. She has a strong network of family and friends and loves meeting up with them as much as possible.
Leigh joined Stonebridge Stewart in November 2011 as a full-time Trainee Administrator/Receptionist under the Apprenticeship framework and has successfully achieved her NVQ2 and NVQ3 qualifications in Business Administration at Wirral Metropolitan College.
Her success has been such that Leigh is now our Practice Administrator, responsible for all the front of house services at Stonebridge Stewart and many of the administrative services, including some bookkeeping.
Leigh spends her spare time with family, friends and her boyfriend and enjoys socialising with them. She also enjoys swimming and keeping fit.
